How to solve level 8, step by step
- Answer the five clued rungs first. On the level 8 ladder they solve to SEEK, SEEP, SEED, WEED and REED.
- Now put those five in the one order where each word differs from its neighbour by a single letter. That forced order (the same puzzle read either way up) links them like this:
- SEEK becomes SEEP by changing the fourth letter from K to P.
- SEEP becomes SEED by changing the fourth letter from P to D.
- SEED becomes WEED by changing the first letter from S to W.
- WEED becomes REED by changing the first letter from W to R.
