Word Climb level 2 answer and walkthrough

A 4-letter ladder rated easy, level 2 of 40. Word Climb levels are identical for every player, so this solution always matches the ladder in your game.

The level 2 ladder

Each rung differs from the one above by exactly one letter. The highlighted tile is the letter that changes as you climb.

Level 2 clues and answers

  1. SHOT (top rung): Fired bullet, or a photo
  2. SHOW: TV program
  3. SHOP: Place to buy things
  4. CHOP: Cut with an axe
  5. CHIP: Potato crisp, or a small chink
  6. SHIP: Big ocean vessel
  7. SLIP (bottom rung): Slide and lose your footing

How to solve level 2, step by step

  1. Answer the five clued rungs first. On the level 2 ladder they solve to SHOW, SHOP, CHOP, CHIP and SHIP.
  2. Now put those five in the one order where each word differs from its neighbour by a single letter. That forced order (the same puzzle read either way up) links them like this:
  3. SHOW becomes SHOP by changing the fourth letter from W to P.
  4. SHOP becomes CHOP by changing the first letter from S to C.
  5. CHOP becomes CHIP by changing the third letter from O to I.
  6. CHIP becomes SHIP by changing the first letter from C to S.
  7. Line the five up that way and the ends unlock. The top answer SHOT sits one letter from SHOW (the fourth letter, T to W), and the bottom answer SLIP sits one letter from SHIP (the second letter, H to L). Solve those two clues to finish the climb.
