Word Climb level 11 answer and walkthrough

A 4-letter ladder rated easy, level 11 of 40. Word Climb levels are identical for every player, so this solution always matches the ladder in your game.

The level 11 ladder

Each rung differs from the one above by exactly one letter. The highlighted tile is the letter that changes as you climb.

Level 11 clues and answers

  1. TAIL (top rung): A dog wags it
  2. RAIL: A train track, or a fence bar
  3. RAIN: Water falling from clouds
  4. MAIN: The most important one
  5. GAIN: Get more of something
  6. GAIT: A person's way of walking
  7. WAIT (bottom rung): Stay until something happens

How to solve level 11, step by step

  1. Answer the five clued rungs first. On the level 11 ladder they solve to RAIL, RAIN, MAIN, GAIN and GAIT.
  2. Now put those five in the one order where each word differs from its neighbour by a single letter. That forced order (the same puzzle read either way up) links them like this:
  3. RAIL becomes RAIN by changing the fourth letter from L to N.
  4. RAIN becomes MAIN by changing the first letter from R to M.
  5. MAIN becomes GAIN by changing the first letter from M to G.
  6. GAIN becomes GAIT by changing the fourth letter from N to T.
  7. Line the five up that way and the ends unlock. The top answer TAIL sits one letter from RAIL (the first letter, T to R), and the bottom answer WAIT sits one letter from GAIT (the first letter, G to W). Solve those two clues to finish the climb.
