Every merge adds the value of the new tile to your score. Merging two 512s into a 1024 adds 1024 points in one move. There's no time limit, so your final score is however high you can climb before the board fills up and no move is possible.

💡 Tips

Keep your highest tile pinned in a corner and build toward it. Don't let a big tile get stranded in the middle.
Only swipe in two directions as much as possible; a third direction tends to scramble your corner strategy.
Chase merges that keep the board open, not just the biggest single merge available.

How do tiles merge in 2048?
