How to use this christmas word scramble
In a classroom, hand it out in the last week of term. The words run from four letters (holly, elves) up to nine (mistletoe, snowflake), so the sheet works for most of primary school, and early finishers can race to fill in the long ones.
At a Christmas party, give every guest a printed sheet and a pen and set a five minute timer. The first person with all twenty correct wins. For teams, cut the sheet in half and give each table ten words.
At home, keep it for the slow hour after lunch on Christmas Day. Younger players can work through it on a phone or tablet, where every correct answer lights up as soon as it is typed.
